Since 2011, the Housing Development Corporation has provided care and homes for low-income people who are mentally disabled.
Named after the patron saint of social workers and the sick, St. Louise de Marillac Manor serves mentally disabled residents with special needs and provides 18 one-bedroom apartments intended as permanent homes.
Tenants are provided with rental stipends, case management, and supportive services according to individual needs.
St. Louise de Marillac Manor is a Section 811 program which allows mentally disabled residents to live as independently as possible. The program is served by onsite caseworkers and staff of St. Joseph’s Medical Center who assist with medication management, budgeting, and benefit coordination.
There’s no place like home…
A home provides so much more than just shelter. Every family needs a home—a place to love, learn, and grow together. Your financial support will make a difference by helping to provide a home for a family in need.
